Abanca Ademar secures first Asobal victory amid squad depth concerns

Abanca Ademar secured its first victory of the Asobal season with a 33-32 win against Cangas. Despite a frantic second half, the team relied on strong performances from Gonzalo, who scored eight goals, and Juan Castro, who contributed seven. Goalkeeper Marcos García also played a crucial role in the closing stages of the match.

Following the win, head coach Luis Puertas addressed the team's current situation and roster limitations. While expressing satisfaction with his players, Puertas noted that the squad is thin, making it difficult to compete for European positions. He emphasized that the team's objectives must align with available resources, noting that injuries or minor setbacks could heavily impact a roster with limited depth.
