ABB partners with Ferrari Hypersail for renewable ocean vessel

ABB has entered a technological partnership with Ferrari Hypersail to support the development of a 100-foot, monohull ocean sailing vessel powered by renewable energy. As the electrification partner, ABB will provide expertise in direct current (DC) technology and advanced electrical systems.

ABB intends to utilize its 25 years of experience in DC technology and its portfolio of over 700 patents to manage the real-time production, storage, and distribution of renewable energy on board. This collaboration aims to demonstrate how advanced electrification and intelligent energy management can maintain efficiency and adaptability in extreme maritime environments.
