ABB partners with LevelTen Energy to expand clean power procurement services
ABB announced a strategic partnership and a minority investment in LevelTen Energy, the U.S.-based platform described as the world’s largest marketplace for clean‑energy transactions. The collaboration is intended to strengthen ABB’s energy and carbon advisory services by adding renewable‑energy procurement capabilities, allowing industrial and commercial customers to secure affordable, long‑term clean electricity without slowing grid connections.
LevelTen has facilitated more than 20 GW of clean‑energy deals across over 35 markets in North America and Europe. ABB’s President of Electrification Services, Stuart Thompson, said customers face pressure to cut carbon footprints while managing energy costs and reliability, and that LevelTen provides a straightforward way to lock in long‑term clean power at the right price. The partnership also aligns with evolving regulatory expectations for more granular clean‑energy sourcing.
The deal underscores ABB’s push to combine its electrification, digital solutions and energy‑management expertise with LevelTen’s marketplace to support end‑to‑end renewable‑energy planning, implementation, optimisation and reporting.
