ABB Robotics launches OmniCore™ EyeMotion vision system

ABB Robotics has introduced OmniCore™ EyeMotion, a hardware-independent intelligent vision system designed to enhance robotic autonomy. The solution allows robots to perceive and adapt to their environments in real time using any camera or third-party sensor, supporting both 2D and 3D applications.

By utilizing an intuitive web interface with drag-and-drop configuration and integrating with RobotStudio®, the system aims to reduce commissioning time by up to 90% compared to custom solutions. This technology is intended for diverse sectors, including automotive and electronics, for tasks such as sorting and quality control.

In a related development for the fashion logistics sector, ABB has also introduced the Fashion Inductor and AI Robot Trainer. This integrated Physical AI solution addresses high variability in garment logistics, enabling sorting and individualization with a throughput of up to 1,300 items per hour and a precision rate exceeding 99.5%. The AI-driven approach is designed to reduce development and implementation efforts by up to 75%.
