ABB shares decline despite Evercore ISI upgrade
ABB shares fell by 2.0% despite an upgrade from Evercore ISI, which moved its recommendation from ‘In Line’ to ‘Outperform’. While Evercore maintained a price target of CHF 85, the firm raised its estimates for operating EBITA and earnings per share by 6% to 13%.
The stock decline occurred amid broader market weakness and profit-taking. Market skepticism follows recent quarterly results, where net profit fell short of expectations. Although ABB reported strong order intake of $12,055 million for the third quarter of 2026—representing 40% year-on-year growth—investors have expressed concerns regarding the long-term sustainability of AI-related investments in data centers.
