Abba Bryski charged with murder after fatal Costco incident

Abba Bryski, a 35-year-old educator and rabbi from Agoura Hills, has been charged with felony murder following a fatal incident at a Costco warehouse in Camarillo, California. The charges stem from the death of 28-year-old Nicholas Lang, who was struck by a vehicle near the facility's fuel pumps on October 20.

According to authorities, witnesses directed deputies toward Bryski, who was reportedly found in a vehicle parked nearby. In addition to the murder charge, which includes a deadly-weapon enhancement, Bryski faces a misdemeanor charge for resisting, obstructing, or delaying law enforcement or emergency personnel.

Bryski, the son of prominent Southern California religious leader Rabbi Moshe Bryski, is being held on a $3 million bail. Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau are investigating the incident as a homicide, though specific details regarding the circumstances leading to the impact have not yet been released. Bryski is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on October 26.
