Abbath cancels all remaining 2026 concert shows

The band Abbath has announced the cancellation of all remaining scheduled shows for 2026. In a brief statement released on Tuesday, September 15, the group apologized to fans, festivals, and all affected parties, though they did not provide a specific reason for the decision.

The announcement follows an incident at the SaariHelvetti festival in Tampere, Finland, on August 14. During that performance, frontman Olve Eikemo reportedly walked off stage only minutes into the set after the opening song, ‘To War!’. At the time, drummer Ukri Suvilehto and festival organizers attributed the abrupt end to Eikemo experiencing health problems.

While Eikemo has previously discussed personal struggles with addiction and entered rehabilitation in 2019, the band has not indicated whether current health issues or addiction are related to the 2026 tour cancellations.
