Abbeville parishioners form association to save local church

Faithful members of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste-du-Rouvroy parish in Abbeville, France, are forming a new association to fund and manage the preservation of their local church. The building is currently facing structural issues, including subsidence and infestation by dry rot.

To support the future association, community members have organized various fundraising and awareness efforts. These include a religious object sale and upcoming cultural events such as an art exhibition featuring the works of painter Jacques Carpentier and musical performances scheduled for mid-September 2026.
