Abbey Road Studios launches exclusive Rock Choir recording session and unveils 'Abbey Road: Reframed' photography show

Rock Choir members were given a rare opportunity to record together at London’s historic Abbey Road Studios. The all‑day experience allowed participants to sing in the studio’s famed Studio One and Studio Two, spaces that have hosted The Beatles, Pink Floyd and countless orchestral and film‑score recordings since the studio opened in 1931.

At the same time, Abbey Road announced a new photography exhibition, “Abbey Road: Reframed”, which surveys almost a century of music history. Curated around three themes – the art of recording, iconic image‑makers and a photography accelerator – the show displays instruments such as Nile Rodgers’ 1960 Fender Stratocaster, the Neumann U47 microphone and the Sgt Pepper mono master tape, alongside images by photographers including Jill Furmanovsky and Norman Parkinson. Managing director Sally Davies said the exhibition highlights how photography shapes the way music is experienced.
