Abbotsford and Mission organizations receive community and employment awards

Five businesses in Abbotsford and Mission were honored at the eighth annual Inclusive Employer Excellence Awards for their leadership in inclusive employment. The event, organized by several community service agencies, recognized organizations committed to hiring and supporting people with disabilities. Recipients included Chalo FreshCo, Tabor Village, Binary Freedom Foundation, Foxglove Floral Cafe, and Newleaf Total Wellness Centre.

Separately, the 20th annual Archway Community Builders’ Awards recognized individuals and organizations for their contributions to the Abbotsford community. Award recipients included Doreen Schellenberg for her volunteer service with the Talia’s Closet program, David Ghimire for his work in inter-generational digital literacy, and the Inasmuch Community Society for its support of refugee claimants.
