Abbotsford Canucks Google search interest falls ~70% year‑over‑year

Google Trends data released by The News shows that searches for “Abbotsford Canucks” dropped about 70 percent when comparing the period July 2025‑June 2026 with July 2024‑June 2025. The 2025‑26 season still recorded a peak relative score of 100 in the week of Oct 18‑25, just before the team’s home opener, with secondary spikes of 94 (Nov 8‑15), 93 (Jan 10‑17) and other notable bumps in Dec 2023‑20 and Mar‑Apr 2026. However, the overall season reached only a high relative score of eight, the lowest in the past five years. The previous high came during the 2024‑25 Calder Cup run, when the term also hit 100. Compared with the Vancouver Canucks, the Abbotsford search term outperformed the former throughout June 2025 and late May 2025. The newer PWHL franchise Vancouver Goldeneyes posted higher weekly volumes during its launch week, but Abbotsford’s searches remained more consistent over the year.
