Abbotsford Canucks unveil 2026‑27 AHL schedule and Oct. 17 home opener
The Abbotsford Canucks released their full 2026‑27 AHL regular‑season schedule on July 9, 2026. The slate features familiar rivals such as the Calgary Wranglers, Bakersfield Condors and Coachella Valley Firebirds, and introduces a new opponent – the Hamilton Hammers, who play Abbotsford on Dec. 15‑16 and visit Hamilton on Feb. 4‑6. The team opens the season on Oct. 2 in Calgary and hosts its first home game on Oct. 17 at Rogers Forum against the Firebirds.
General manager Richard Seeley said the community’s support makes Abbotsford “a special place to play.” The schedule also marks the league’s earliest season start since 2009 and includes the AHL All‑Star Classic in Cleveland on Feb. 7‑8. In addition, the club revealed a new Johnny Canuck mascot, making its debut at the Canada Day parade and during the home‑opener game.
The Canucks will have three six‑game home stands and two extended road trips later in the season, with the final home game slated for March 27. The schedule confirms 13 Saturday matchups, the most frequent game day for the franchise.
