Abbotsford church seeks community help after $20,000 Canada Day burglary

Christ Ambassadors Church in Abbotsford reported a break‑in on the night of July 1, with roughly $20,000 worth of sound equipment, instruments, TVs, cameras and computers stolen. Worship leader Joy Lupai said the loss devastated the congregation of fewer than 100 members, which has served the community for almost two decades.

Local churches and residents have begun donating equipment and other assistance, but the congregation still needs substantial funds to replace what was taken. The church launched a GoFundMe campaign with a $15,000 goal to cover replacement costs.

The Abbotsford Police Department has not made any arrests and is reviewing surveillance footage to identify suspects.
