Abbotsford Councillor Dave Sidhu Announces Re‑Election Bid
Abbotsford city councillor Dave Sidhu announced his intention to run for another term in the municipal election scheduled for October 17. Sidhu, first elected in a September 2021 by‑election after Bruce Banman moved to provincial office, was re‑elected in 2022 with the highest vote total of any council candidate. He said he seeks another term “to continue providing practical, responsible and community‑focused leadership while working to keep Abbotsford safe, well managed and prepared for the future.”
Sidhu highlighted his focus on responsible development, transportation, public safety, infrastructure and accessibility. He currently chairs the city’s Development, Transportation and Infrastructure Advisory Committee and serves as alternate chair of the Agriculture Advisory Committee. Throughout his tenure he has kept his personal cellphone number publicly available to stay accessible to residents.
