Abbott and Google Health partner for AI-powered glucose monitoring

Abbott and Google Health have entered a multi-year partnership to integrate Abbott’s Lingo continuous glucose monitor (CGM) with Google’s artificial intelligence technology. The collaboration aims to provide users with personalized metabolic insights by combining glucose data with other health metrics such as sleep, physical activity, and nutrition.

Through the Google Health app, users of the Lingo biowearable—which is intended for adults not using insulin—will be able to receive AI-driven, contextual recommendations via the Google Health Coach. This feature is designed to help individuals build sustainable lifestyle habits.

The partnership also includes one of the largest real-world metabolic health studies to date. This research will integrate continuous glucose readings, wearable data, laboratory results, and surveys to refine AI models and improve future metabolic health products.
