AbbVie and McLaren announce Formula 1 partnership

AbbVie has entered into a multi-year agreement to become the official pharmaceutical partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 team. This marks the American laboratory's first global sports sponsorship in motorsports.

Through the ‘Race to Innovate’ program, the collaboration will link sporting performance to charitable contributions. AbbVie has committed to donating $10,000 for every 10 points McLaren earns in the F1 Constructors' Championship. These funds will support global charities and patient advocacy groups, specifically targeting education and resources for individuals living with autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases.

The partnership is set to debut at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
