AbbVie raises profit guidance following strong Q3 results

AbbVie reported third-quarter revenue of $17.4 billion, a 10.3% increase year over year, surpassing Wall Street estimates. The pharmaceutical company reported adjusted earnings per share of $3.82, more than doubling the $1.86 reported in the same period last year.

Growth was primarily driven by the immunology portfolio, led by Skyrizi, which generated $5.78 billion in revenue, and Rinvoq, which brought in $2.71 billion. These newer therapies are successfully offsetting the revenue decline from Humira, which saw sales drop 31.2% following the loss of US patent exclusivity in 2023. The neuroscience division also saw significant growth, with revenue rising 19% to $3.39 billion, supported by Botox Therapeutic and Vraylar.

Following these results, AbbVie raised its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $13.95 to $13.99 per share. Additionally, the company announced a 5.2% increase in its quarterly dividend, with higher payments scheduled to begin in February 2027.
