Nielsen ratings for the week of August 17 show varying performance across major US evening news broadcasts. It was noted as the only broadcast to avoid viewership losses in both measured categories compared to the previous week, showing year-over-year increases in both total viewers and the key demographic.

CBS’s ‘Evening News’ with Tony Dokoupila averaged approximately 3.96 million total viewers and 458,000 in the 25-54 demographic. It recorded gains in total viewers compared to the previous week and showed slight increases compared to the same period last year.
