ABC News corrects Trump sons report; Ambassador Guilfoyle under probe

ABC News has issued corrections and republished a report regarding the business dealings of Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump after an initial version was abruptly removed from its website. The original report, which alleged that companies backed by the Trump sons had secured over $6 billion in Pentagon contracts, contained factual errors regarding investment amounts and company chronologies. A revised version clarifies that 1789 Capital, a venture capital firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner, invested $50 million in defense contractor Anduril, rather than holding a major stake, and notes that Trump Jr. is not on the firm's investment decision committee.

Separately, U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle is facing scrutiny and an investigation by the State Department's Inspector General. Allegations have surfaced, supported by leaked text messages, suggesting Guilfoyle requested $100,000 from Republican donor Eric Deters to settle personal credit card debt in exchange for potential access to the Trump administration. Reports also indicate she may have used her position to lobby for the interests of Greek businessmen. Vice President JD Vance has stated that while the allegations must be investigated in a court of law, Guilfoyle should face consequences if the misconduct is proven.
