Abéché hosts student competitions and academic orientation events

In Abéché, Chad, recent educational initiatives have focused on celebrating student achievement and providing academic guidance. Al-Afia High School won the fifth edition of the ‘Trophée des lycéens’, a competition organized by the NGO Future Team Tchad to promote general culture and public speaking. The final, presided over by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Naïr Abakar, saw Al-Afia defeat Acyl Ahmat Akaghach High School with a score of 46 to 41.

Simultaneously, the Association of Young Abéchois for Socio-educational and Environmental Development (AJADSE) held its second conference-debate salon at the Abéché Knowledge Center. The event, themed ‘Orienting oneself to better choose and succeed’, aimed to guide new high school graduates through the complexities of university studies and professional career paths. Experts from Adam Barka University and the National Institute of Science and Technology of Abéché (INSTA) provided guidance on selecting academic fields based on personal aptitude and market demand.
