ABCS launches data platform to support swine production in Northeast Brazil

The DX – Data Experiente and the Brazilian Association of Swine Breeders (ABCS) have launched ABCSData Insights, a digital platform designed to provide market intelligence for the swine industry. The tool aggregates strategic indicators from official sources, including IBGE, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and the Federal Revenue, to assist producers, companies, and investors in decision-making.

The launch coincides with an expansion of swine production in Northeast Brazil. In the first quarter of 2026, the region recorded approximately 180,000 swine slaughterings, a nearly 6% increase compared to the previous year. Bahia and Ceará led the processing, with approximately 70,000 and 61,000 heads slaughtered, respectively. Bahia also maintains the largest number of technical and independent breeding herds in the region with approximately 18,000 sows.
