Egypt: President el-Sisi emphasizes transparency and citizen welfare

During a ceremony marking the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi delivered a speech emphasizing national stability, transparency, and citizen welfare.

The President called for a forthcoming conference to review the state's achievements and expenditures over recent years, inviting intellectuals and specialists to participate in a transparent discussion of challenges and projects. He stressed the importance of honesty in government communications, stating, “We are trying to be very honest with great transparency and credibility.”

Key directives included improving the cost of living by expanding government sales outlets for essential goods, regulating electricity billing, and ensuring the protection of citizen rights in the real estate sector. Additionally, the President addressed national security, affirming the readiness of the Egyptian Armed Forces to defend the country's interests amidst regional instability.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials and included religious ceremonies, featuring speeches from the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed el-Tayeb, and Dr. Osama al-Azhari.
