Abdel Fattah el-Sisi warns of ongoing efforts to destabilize Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi warned that efforts to destabilize the Egyptian state are ongoing, stating that the plans seen during the 2011–2013 period have not ended. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the sixth judicial cohort from the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Administrative Capital, el-Sisi emphasized that the responsibility to protect the nation falls on all citizens rather than just the president or the government.

El-Sisi noted that while other countries faced planned and coordinated disruptions during the Arab Spring, Egypt survived, which places a heavy responsibility on its people given the country's limited resources. He clarified that the role of the Egyptian Military Academy in training personnel for various state institutions—including the judiciary, foreign ministry, and administrative oversight bodies—is intended to implement unified, merit-based standards across all sectors.

The President stressed that the goal of these programs is to immunize youth against sabotage and to ensure genuine institutional reform. He argued that such reform is a long-term process that requires a serious path and sufficient time to be effective in a nation of millions.
