Abdellah Ouazane receives first Morocco national team call-up

Seventeen-year-old Ajax midfielder Abdellah Ouazane has received his first call-up to the Morocco national football team. The young talent expressed great enthusiasm for the selection, noting that he chose to represent Morocco two years ago to accelerate his development and learn from experienced players.

Ouazane’s rising profile has drawn significant praise from former Dutch international Eljero Elia. During an appearance on Ziggo Sport, Elia compared the young player's early performances to those of Ismaïl Aissati and described him as “buitencategorie” (out of this category). Elia emphasized the importance of providing Ouazane with consistent playing time at Ajax to further his growth.

Morocco is scheduled to compete in Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches against Gabon on September 25 and Lesotho on September 29.
