Abderahim Younous Ali appointed Chairman of SOPROFIM S.A. board

Dr. Abderahim Younous Ali has officially assumed the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Société de promotion foncière et immobilière (SOPROFIM S.A.) in Chad. The transition took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, following a formal handover ceremony with his predecessor, Mahamat Assileck Halata, who serves as the Minister of Land Management, Urbanism, and Housing.

The appointment was formalized by decree n° 2298/PR/2026 on October 5, 2026. The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Secretary General to the Presidency of the Republic, Evodia Pakouaré, and the Director General of SOPROFIM, Charfadine Abdelkerim Seby.

In his new role, Dr. Younous Ali is tasked with defining strategic orientations, ensuring good governance, and supporting the company’s mission to manage land and real estate development projects essential to Chad’s urban growth. During the ceremony, he called for collaboration and solidarity among staff to meet the challenges facing the public company.
