Abdoulaye Saydou Sow prepares launch of new political movement in Kaffrine

Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, the Mayor of Kaffrine, is preparing for the public launch of his new political movement, scheduled for September 12 at the Kaffrine stadium. Following the official creation of the movement on July 29, 2026, Sow conducted a tour from August 22 to 24 to seek blessings and counsel from religious leaders in the Koungheul department.

During his meetings in areas such as Arafat, Dimiskha, and Guérane Gou Mak, Sow presented his political project, which emphasizes development driven by local territories. He highlighted critical regional challenges, including poverty and the lack of essential infrastructure for health, water, and electricity, noting that some women are forced to give birth in carts due to inadequate sanitary facilities.
