Abdul Carter announces jersey number change and high ambitions

New York Giants edge-rusher Abdul Carter has announced he will switch his jersey number to No. 3 for the upcoming season. Carter cited “crazy numerology” as the reason for the change, noting that he was born on October 3, 2003, and was selected as the third overall pick in the NFL draft.

Following an underwhelming rookie season where he recorded four sacks and 43 tackles, Carter expressed high ambitions to his teammates during a meeting with new coach John Harbaugh. Carter stated his desire to become “the greatest of all time” in terms of football ability, acknowledging that he must prove this through his performance on the field.
