Abdul el Sayed targets MAHA voters in Michigan Senate race

Democratic Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed is launching a “Building a Healthier America” initiative in Michigan to appeal to voters aligned with the Make America Health Again (MAHA) movement. The platform focuses on reducing toxic pesticides and microplastics, framing food as medicine, and limiting corporate influence in agriculture and regulatory agencies.

El Sayed, a physician and former health official, is positioning himself against Republican nominee Mike Rogers in a closely contested race. The campaign has criticized Rogers for his role in the opioid crisis and argued that the Republican platform continues to protect multinational corporations at the expense of public health.

Simultaneously, reports indicate that el Sayed’s Senate Majority PAC (SMP) has received significant funding from donors linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein. The PAC has invested a total of $30 million into the Michigan Senate race, with approximately $15.15 million of those donations traced to individuals associated with Epstein, including Vinod Khosla and Jon Stryker. Other contributors to the PAC include George Soros’ Democracy PAC and Michael Bloomberg’s American Opportunity Action.
