Abdul Mu’ti inaugurates educational facilities in Malang

Indonesia’s Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, visited Malang to inaugurate several educational facilities and perform a groundbreaking ceremony for new buildings at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi. During the visit, which coincided with a regional Muhammadiyah gathering, Mu’ti inaugurated the Madina Building at the Muhammadiyah Gondanglegi Entrepreneur Pesantren and SDU Permata Muhammadiyah 5 Karangploso.

Mu’ti emphasized the importance of providing high-quality, safe, and comfortable learning environments to prepare students for the ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’ vision. He outlined three essential profiles for the future generation: being knowledgeable, capable, and humble.

The head of SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, Munali, reported a significant surge in student interest for the 2026 academic year, particularly in the heavy equipment engineering department. The school has seen high employment rates, with many students being recruited through internship and field practice programs even before graduation.
