Abdulaziz Yari defends Tinubu's competence ahead of 2027 election

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has asserted that no presidential aspirants challenging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election match the incumbent in competence or quality.

Speaking to members of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Gusau, Zamfara State, Yari claimed that challengers do not possess even 10 percent of the merit and qualities held by Tinubu. While acknowledging the constitutional right of others to contest, Yari stated that the APC would work extensively to secure a victory for the president in 2027.

He described the upcoming campaign as an effort to engage Nigerians regarding the future of the country and urged supporters to pray for the success of both Tinubu and Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal.
