Abdulla Dayakaev defeats Superlek via TKO in Muay Thai rematch

Abdulla Dayakaev secured his second consecutive victory over ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, though the bantamweight Muay Thai rematch ended abruptly. The fight concluded just 39 seconds into the second round when Superlek’s right leg buckled during an exchange, resulting in a TKO victory for Dayakaev.

Despite the win, which moves Dayakaev’s record to 17-3, the Russian fighter expressed mixed emotions regarding the stoppage. Dayakaev noted that while he anticipated a short fight, he “don’t want to finish like this” and expressed respect for the Thai legend, whom he cited as a career inspiration.

Following the bout, Dayakaev indicated he has no interest in a trilogy match. He has shifted his focus toward the bantamweight Muay Thai world title, stating his intention to challenge the winner of the upcoming bout between Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon and Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri.
