Abdullah Öcalan reportedly moves to new residence in İmralı

Reports from political circles suggest that Abdullah Öcalan has moved into a newly prepared residence on İmralı Island. According to journalist Nuray Babacan, this move follows a resolution regarding Öcalan’s legal status, which had previously been a point of contention.

In addition to the change in living conditions, claims have emerged regarding the formation of a ‘Liquidation Commission’ (Tasfiye Komisyonu). This body reportedly operates alongside the existing Coordination Board under the Presidency. The commission is said to evaluate data from state intelligence units and high-level PKK members to facilitate the dissolution of the PKK.

Reports indicate that Öcalan is exercising initiative within this process, specifically regarding lists related to the organization's liquidation. This direct line of communication between the state and Öcalan has reportedly caused confusion among other political actors, including the DEM Party and various wings of the organization.
