The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a new wanted notice for Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina, the former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT). The anti-graft agency is seeking Maina in connection with an alleged case of receiving stolen property.

Maina, 61, is an indigene of Biu in Borno State. This latest development follows his recent release from the Kuje Correctional Centre in February 2025, after serving a portion of an eight-year prison sentence for a separate money laundering conviction involving approximately N2 billion in pension funds.

The EFCC has appealed to the public for information regarding his whereabouts, directing citizens to contact its various regional offices in cities such as Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Port Harcourt, or to report to the nearest police station.
