ABEJA selects former Bank of Japan and Ambassador as outside directors

AI enterprise platform provider ABEJA has resolved to nominate two high-profile candidates for outside director positions: Kikoe Shimizu, a former Governor of the Bank of Japan, and Makio Miyagawa, a former Ambassador to Malaysia.

The appointments are intended to strengthen the company’s global expansion and governance as it accelerates business in the ASEAN region and the Global South through its Singapore-based subsidiary. Shimizu, who previously oversaw international relations at the Bank of Japan, is expected to contribute expertise in financial policy and economic environments. Miyagawa, a veteran diplomat with experience in national security and international politics, will provide guidance on overseas business strategies related to diplomacy and economic security.

Both candidates are scheduled to take office following approval at the 14th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, expected to be held on November 25, 2026.
