Abel Ferreira criticizes pitch quality at Vila Belmiro

Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira criticized the condition of the pitch at Vila Belmiro following a draw against Santos. Ferreira stated that the field quality does not match the stature of the two institutions and called for stricter regulation and standardization of football pitches in Brazil, citing European leagues as a benchmark.

Regarding the match, Ferreira noted that while Palmeiras started stronger, the game became balanced after the 15-minute mark. He expressed frustration over missed opportunities, noting that the team had six chances to score but was prevented by the performance of Santos goalkeeper Diógenes.
