Abel Losada leaves Pontevedra Government Sub-delegation

Abel Losada has officially stepped down from his position as the Government Sub-delegate in Pontevedra, according to a resolution published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The decision, effective as of Tuesday, October 20, follows his decision to join the PSOE candidacy for the Pontevedra constituency in the upcoming general elections, where he is listed as the top candidate for Congress.

Losada, an academic and former member of the Parliament of Galicia, has held the sub-delegation role since late November 2023. His political career includes serving as a director general in the Presidency of the Xunta de Galicia and as a councilman in Vigo for three terms. He holds a doctorate in Economic Sciences and is a professor at the University of Vigo.
