Abel Segovia appointed as new Xerez CD manager

Abel Segovia is set to become the new manager of Xerez CD, succeeding Xavi Molist. The decision follows a difficult start to the season where the team earned only two points from a possible twelve in the first four matches, leaving them in the relegation zone of the Tercera RFEF standings.

Segovia, who has previous experience with Antequera and Atlético Sanluqueño, was selected after negotiations with other candidates, including Abel Gómez, did not result in an agreement. He is expected to begin training with the squad at the Estadio Municipal de Chapín this Thursday.

His immediate priority will be preparing the team for their upcoming match against Tenerife B, scheduled for Sunday at 12:00. The club's objective for Segovia is to reverse the current negative momentum and return the team to the competitive levels required to fight for promotion to Primera Federación.
