Abelardo de la Espriella Leads Colombia's Presidential Runoff Poll
A June 10 poll by Atlas/Intel shows right‑wing candidate Abelardo de la Espriella ahead of left‑wing senator Iván Cepeda ahead of Colombia's presidential runoff on 21 June. De la Espriella has 52.2 % of voting intentions, while Cepeda has 44.5 %, each gaining 1.9 points since the previous measurement. The survey notes the right maintains an advantage in the Caribbean region, whereas the left leads in Bogotá with about 50 % support. Voter migration patterns indicate 85 % of former Paloma Valencia supporters are shifting to the right, while 68.7 % of former Sergio Fajardo voters are moving to the left. Rejection rates remain high, with 46.6 % disapproving de la Espriella and 51.7 % disapproving Cepeda. The two will face each other in the second round scheduled for 21 June.
