Abelardo De la Espriella Leads Poll Ahead of Colombian Presidential Runoff

A recent poll conducted by Guarumo and Ecoanalítica surveyed 2,073 eligible voters in 54 municipalities between June 8‑11 and found former minister Abelardo De la Espriella ahead of left‑wing candidate Iván Cepeda, with 52.6% of respondents supporting De la Espriella versus 45.0% for Cepeda. The poll also recorded a 2.4% share for blank votes.

An earlier CNC survey for the magazine Cambio, based on 2,186 respondents, showed De la Espriella with 48.6% and Cepeda with 44.7% of the vote, while 6.7% indicated a blank ballot. The second‑round presidential election is scheduled for 21 June, and the latest measurements indicate a lead of more than five percentage points for De la Espriella over Cepeda.
