Abelardo De la Espriella receives presidential band

President-elect Abelardo De la Espriella participated in a symbolic ceremony to receive the presidential band from retired members of the Military Forces and the National Police. De la Espriella described the act as a "privilege" and a "profound honor," noting that receiving the symbol from those who defended Colombia's freedom reflects a deep sense of duty.

The presidential band was crafted by Luis Abel Delgado, a renowned tailor from Nariño known as the "tailor of presidents and popes." Delgado has historically produced official presidential insignia for several Colombian leaders, including César Gaviria, Ernesto Samper, Andrés Pastrana, and Álvaro Uribe. Delgado stated that his work strictly adheres to official regulations and protocol.
