Abelina López Rodríguez calls for development in Guerrero
Abelina López Rodríguez, the acting mayor of Acapulco, has emphasized the necessity of regional development to ensure that national political transformations reach local communities in Guerrero. During informative assemblies in Xolapa and Pueblo Madero, she stated that without tangible development, the state cannot experience true change.
López Rodríguez connected her current political aspirations, including coordinating the committees for the Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty, to historical movements in Guerrero. She cited the state's role in the Independence movement and the Mexican Revolution as precedents for its importance in national processes. She further aligned her vision with the ‘Cuarta Transformación’ project led by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, highlighting principles such as austerity and anti-corruption.
