ABEMA and TOHO animation announce major anime festival and convention coverage

ABEMA has announced new details for the ‘ABEMA Anime Matsuri 2026,’ a large-scale anime festival scheduled for September 19–20 in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event will feature free stages at MIYASHITA PARK, including appearances by voice actors from series such as ‘Soutanai Kimi to Boku.’ Additional programming includes special live broadcasts of ‘Seiyuu to Yoasobi 2026’ and public recordings of popular radio shows at Abema Towers.

In a separate collaboration, TOHO animation will release a special report program on its official YouTube channel on August 16, 2026. The program will cover the highlights of Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, hosted by NIJISANJI EN VTubers Shu Yamino and Meloco Kyoran. The broadcast will feature footage from the convention, reports on the TOHO animation booth, and appearances by voice actress Hana Hishikawa.
