ABEMA announces sequel to hip-hop crime drama MOGURA

ABEMA will release the six-episode sequel to the hip-hop crime suspense series, ‘Metropolitan Police Narcotics Division MOGURA — Black Tokuryu Undercover Investigation —’, starting December 23. The series is produced by Osamu Suzuki and based on true stories shared by rapper Kan a.k.a. GAMI.

Returning lead rapper Hannya reprises his role as Shokichi Izanagi, a former police officer and rapper. Joining him as a co-star is Pxrge Trxxxper, the 19-year-old winner of the ‘RAPSTAR 2025’ audition program, who will make his acting debut playing Legion, a young rapper struggling to rise through music while being drawn into crime.

The sequel focuses on the theme of ‘dark part-time jobs’ and anonymous, fluid criminal groups known as ‘Tokuryu’ that exploit young people. The story follows the encounter between Legion and Izanagi as they confront a massive criminal organization.
