ABEMA to host free marathon broadcast of anime ‘Yani Neko’

The streaming service ABEMA has announced a special free marathon broadcast of the anime ‘Yani Neko’. Starting August 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM, viewers can watch episodes 1 through 6 for free, with all episodes remaining available for one week following the broadcast.

Based on the manga by Nyan Nyan Factory serialized in Kodansha’s ‘Young Magazine’, the series is a slice-of-life comedy centered on Yani Neko, a heavy-smoking, lazy beastman, and the daily lives of those around him. The anime adaptation, produced by Bibury Animation Studios and directed by Taku Kimura, began broadcasting in July 2026.
