Aberdeen to host Deepwater Wind Symposium for UK supply chain
The Global Underwater Hub (GUH) will host a Deepwater Wind Symposium in Aberdeen on November 17, 2026, at P&J Live. The event aims to explore the potential of deepwater fixed wind and its impact on the UK supply chain.
Great British Energy has joined as the headline sponsor, with support from Crown Estate Scotland. The symposium will feature four foundation technology developers—Entrion Wind, Marine Power Systems, Neretek, and OSI Renewables—who will discuss approaches to offshore wind in deeper waters and the specific capabilities required from the supply chain.
Participants will have access to 1:1 meetings with developers to explore collaborations and identify technical requirements. The event seeks to address challenges in foundation design, seabed conditions, and installation to leverage the UK’s underwater engineering expertise for the energy transition.
