ABERT condemns Paulo Figueiredo's hate attacks on journalist Miriam Leitão

The Brazilian Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (ABERT) issued a statement denouncing influencer Paulo Figueiredo for making misogynistic and violent remarks toward journalist Miriam Leitão. ABERT said the insults exceed the limits of free expression and constitute serious incitement to hatred and intimidation of journalists.

The association called on the relevant authorities to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable, reaffirming its commitment to press freedom, the free exercise of journalism, and the safety of media professionals.
