Aberystwyth Bandstand hosts free travelling museum this summer

Amgueddfa Ceredigion is setting up a free travelling museum in the Bandstand in Aberystwyth for the summer. The exhibition runs every Wednesday from 11 am to 4 pm and showcases the themes “Home, Land and Water” through crafts, storytelling and interactive displays.

Visitors can attend a range of activities, including pottery workshops on 21 August, 4 August and 25 August, weaving and music sessions with Alaw Griffiths on 28 September, an Eco‑Hub programme on 4 August, a Lego‑building workshop on 11 August, and a practical cooking session on 18 August. The programme is aimed at all ages and is funded by Museums and Galleries Wales.

The initiative provides families, locals and tourists with free access to local heritage, arts and environmental education throughout the summer months.
