Abhijeet Dipke launches ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign targeting government school issues

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, has launched the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign to address issues within government schools. During his campaign, Dipke alleged that expired food items are being served to children in government institutions, though these claims have not been independently verified and specific locations were not identified.

In Goa, government primary schools face a unique challenge. Despite having over 600 schools with qualified, well-paid teachers and adequate infrastructure—including drinking water, sanitation, and internet connectivity—enrollment remains low. Most government schools in the state operate in Marathi-medium or use the Devanagiri Konkani script, which contributes to lower student numbers compared to aided and private schools.

Dipke’s activism has also focused on infrastructure improvements. He recently highlighted the arrival of the first computer system and new benches at a government school in his native village in the Hingoli district. His campaign continues to raise concerns regarding broken toilets, lack of drinking water, and general administrative failures in government schools.
