Abhijeet Dipke’s ‘privileged’ jab at Samay Raina sparks Indian social media debate

Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke criticised comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, calling it a platform for the “privileged” and saying he would never appear on it. Dipke made the comments during an interview on Unfiltered, prompting a viral clip and a wave of social‑media reactions. Users highlighted Dipke’s own U.S. education, questioning the consistency of his critique.

Raina later referenced the controversy in his stand‑up special Still Alive, recalling a police warning to apologise for earlier FIRs linked to the show. Season 2 of India’s Got Latent launched on June 20, 2026, on YouTube and Netflix, quickly garnering tens of millions of views and topping Netflix’s charts.
