Abhijit Dipke's Mother Says Son Faced Threats to Join BJP

Anitha Dipke, mother of activist Abhijit Dipke, told a Marathi news channel that her son was shown a video threatening that his family would be targeted if he did not join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She said the threat prompted the family to leave their home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, and stay with relatives for about sixteen days. Dipke allegedly advised his parents to stay away from the house for safety. The family’s brief disappearance was linked to Dipke’s leadership of a 36‑day protest in New Delhi, which ended after the central education minister resigned.
